SAINT-GUILHEM LE DÉSERT

Located in the spectacular Hérault gorges, Saint-Guilhem-le-Désert is a medieval village classified among the Most Beautiful Villages in France. Founded in the 9th century, it is famous for its Gellone Abbey, a masterpiece of Romanesque architecture, which attracts pilgrims from Santiago de Compostela. The cobbled streets, lined with stone houses, exude history and charm. 

Activities: 
Visit the abbey and its gardens, go hiking on the surrounding trails to admire the wild landscapes, or canoe on the Hérault. The village cafés offer a beautiful view of the gorges, perfect for a gourmet break.
